October 22, 2014 – Leviton says it has launched the industry’s first 40A electric vehicle (EV) charge connector assembly, as part of the company’s Evr-Green family of EV supply equipment (EVSE).

With 9.7kW of power, the Level 2 connector is available with 25 ft of 8 AWG EV cable.  Its NEMA 3S enclosure rating ensures continuous operation even in extreme conditions, says Leviton. A built-in anti-theft mechanism serves as protection in instances of unauthorized use.
