Mitigating Construction Risk with IoT – EBPowerCon 2022

February 24, 2022 | By Anthony Capkun

February 24, 2022 – The construction industry abounds with risk… risk of poor estimates, risk of disruptions in weather, labour and supply chain, and the ever-present risk of something “going sideways” during construction or final occupancy.

The burgeoning sector of Internet of Things or IoT sensors and devices—supported by “the cloud” and analytics—aims to address at least some of the risks inherent in constructing our built environment.

To that end we welcome Hamid Alemohammad to EBPowerCon 2022 with the session Managing Construction Risk with IoT. A subject matter expert in the internet of things, Hamid will help provide an overview of IoT in construction sites, buildings and facilities, and zero in on risk mitigation solutions that are available in the market right now for constructors and owners.
