October 25, 2025 – Ontario Power Generation subsidiary Laurentis Energy Partners has signed a $60-million Support Services Agreement with New Brunswick Power Corp. to help drive performance at NB Power’s Point Lepreau nuclear generating station.

“This agreement builds on our long-standing relationship with NB Power and represents another step forward in strengthening Canada’s nuclear sector through collaboration,” said Laurentis president & CEO Leslie McWilliams.

Under the $20M-per-year, three-year agreement, Laurentis will:

  • Assess the generating station against Ontario’s nuclear fleet, and help NB Power develop and execute a tailored Excellence Plan.
  • Implement its “Governance, Oversight, Support, and Perform” model to enhance accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide onsite support and collaboration, including quarterly visits to Lepreau to support programs and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Provide access to specialized support in engineering and project management.
  • Provide training and development resources for NB Power employees.

“Together, we’re demonstrating how provinces can work in partnership to advance clean energy, drive operational excellence, and deliver lasting benefits for customers and communities across Canada,” said McWilliams.
