October 1, 2021 – Congratulations to Nirav Patel, vice-president, Human Resources, at Ontario Power Generation, who was recognized as an Agent of Change by Electricity Human Resources Canada.

EHRC’s Agents of Change Award was created to recognize “exceptional individuals who are making a tremendous difference in raising industry awareness of the importance and value of diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces”.

“Nirav is a true Agent of Change, and a fierce advocate for equitable and inclusive policies and practices—both within his own organization and the broader electricity community,” said Michelle Branigan, EHRC’s CEO.

Patel, who also serves as vice-chair of the EHRC board, has been involved in a number of key initiatives over the last few years, notes EHRC, including the national mentorship program for women, the Leadership Accord for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and the Empowering Futures project.

“His thoughtful and innovative leadership in this area has produced great results, and we are thrilled to be able to recognize his contributions to our sector with this award,” Branigan added.
