VIDEO – School kids find out “What goes on behind the walls”
April 12, 2012 | By Anthony Capkun
Future Building 2012 is an interactive, three-day exhibition providing young career-seekers with the opportunity to experience hands-on activities in all areas of the unionized construction sector, and showcases the partnerships between labour and management that help build Ontario’s future.
In this video we hear from event participants Bradley Watt and James Gribben (IBEW Local 353) and Robin Granger (OPG, Darlington Refurbishment Project), and the Ontario Construction Secretariat’s Jim Wright. In particular, we ask them why it is important to expose young minds to the skilled trades, and the kind of future they can expect.
