A-D says Affiliate growth outpaced the market in Q1 2013

May 4, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

May 3, 2013 – Affiliated Distributors Canada’s (A-D’s) electrical sales grew 7% in the first quarter of 2013 on a same store basis from $320 million to $344 million. A-D U.S. electrical sales grew 4% to $2.9 million for the same quarter.

“Many indicators in the Canadian electrical market point to a sluggish Q1. Suppliers and some chains have published or disclosed negative sales results,” noted Jim Milne, president A-D Canada, adding, “Our team of entrepreneurs once again has proven their resolve and significantly outperformed the market.”

“I continue to be impressed by our Affiliates who, year after year, outperform their markets and take share,” said Bill Weisberg, chair and CEO of Affiliated Distributors.

“It is our commitment to our customers and suppliers that we will continue to meet your needs with inventories, branches and personnel,” continued Milne. “While chains focus on cash flow, A-D Affiliates focus on service.”
