ABB expands power range of ACS 2000 medium voltage drive

June 27, 2013 – The ACS 2000 from ABB, now available with higher power capabilities up to 3,000 HP, is ideal for general-purpose applications where a medium voltage installation is required. The ACS 2000ʼs direct-to-line connection results in a small footprint for space-sensitive applications. ACS 2000 design provides near sinusoidal current and voltage waveforms making the drive compatible for use with standard NEMA rated motors, says the company. The ultra low harmonic (ULH) design meets the requirements for current and voltage harmonic distortion per IEEE 519 and IEC 61000-2-4 standards.
