AC Direct: Ask me some questions, I’ll tell you no lies

April 5, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

April 4, 2013 – EBMag aims to be the ‘water cooler’ of Canada’s professional electrical community; a place where business concerns are discussed and pondered, and where people talk about what they did on the weekend.

I regularly encourage readers and the people I meet to attend industry events that align with their business goals whenever they can. Getting out into the industry is a great way to network with peers, learn new ways of doing things, advance your training and, generally, become a better, well-rounded electrical professional.

But not everyone can find the time or resources to attend industry conference and events, and I fully understand. This is why my team and I attend as many electrical events across Canada, and a few in the States, as we can to bring you the latest knowledge in electrical safety, work truck offerings, and so forth.

In essence, we try to make you feel like “you were there”.

And what better way to help you feel like you were there than for you to send me questions that I can take to the people I meet at the various conferences/shows we attend?

For example, in a few weeks I will be attending Lightfair: the preeminent gathering of lighting professionals and manufacturers in North America. All the top guys will be there. If you could be there, what would you ask them? What would you want to know?

ASK ME! And I will ask them.

And this principle applies to every event I attend. How do you know what we’re attending? Check out our CALENDAR page, and look for the ‘EB Will Be There’ circle.

Put us to work getting you the information you want that you cannot get yourself, and I’ll see you at the water cooler afterward.
