Arani to donate EV chargers to community organizations through “Charge for Change”

May 8, 2025 – Canadian manufacturer and distributor of electrical and lighting products Arani has launched Charge for Change: a program that will donate up to ten (10) Level 2 electric vehicle chargers to non-profit and public institutions across Canada.

“We created Charge for Change to help organizations that want to support sustainable transportation, but lack the budget to invest in infrastructure,” said president Sean Arani. “This program puts EV charging within reach, and makes it easy.”

The program aims to help community-serving sites make EV charging more accessible—without complexity or ongoing fees.

  • Public institutions and registered non-profits across Canada
  • Licensed electrical contractors nominating a client

Selected recipients will receive one free Arani plug-and-play 48A Level 2 charger, which provides up to 11.5 kW of charging power at 240 V (MSRP $699). It features a 25-ft cable with an SAE J1772 connector and a hardwired installation setup. Designed for indoor or outdoor use, the enclosure is IP65- and IK08-rated and operates in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C.

Organizations are responsible for the charger’s installation, which must be completed within 90 days of receiving the unit.
