March 19, 2014 By Alyssa Dalton
March 19, 2014 – The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) has opened submissions for its Young Entrepreneur Award, which offers a grand prize of $100,000 to business owners aged 18 to 35 years.
A second prize, consisting of $25,000 in consulting services, will be awarded to the BDC Young Entrepreneur Award runner-up. Applicants with a new business idea can explain how the prize will transform their dream into a growing, successful enterprise.
The deadline for submissions is April 3.
Up to eleven finalists, one for each province and one for the combined territories, will be selected. A national committee will evaluate and score the projects for 30% of the final ranking. Public voting between May 29 and June 12 will account for 70% of the final ranking.
Winners will be announced on June 18.
