November 4, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur
November 4, 2016 – The British Columbia government’s stream of post-secondary funding has now made its way to the doors at Okanagan College. The school will see a $7.44-million investment for skills training at its newly renovated, $35-million trades training complex in Kelowna, B.C.
About 2667 seats—including electricians—will be funded with the investment through the Industry Training Authority (ITA), through to March 31, 2017.
“Coupled with community and employer support, this investment allows us to offer the programs that will give students the skills they need and that industry is looking for”, said Jim Hamilton, president of Okanagan College.
