Belden joins the HDcctv Alliance to meet their application requirements

Belden – a manufacturer of professional video cable – joined he HDcctv Alliance to better their position in video surveillance camera connection technology. HDcctv Alliance is the global security industry that manages and promotes technical standards for HDcctv equipment interoperability.

Belden plans to provide direct transmission over media such as
Catergory cable and optical fiber in future versions of theHDcctv
standards, says the press release. Josh Dixon, Belden vertical market
manager, safety and security states that: “this new camera connection
technology allows for higher performing systems, with a lower
installation learning curve and a much lower cost of entry.”
