February 2, 2015 –  Power management company Eaton introduced the new Bussmann Low-Peak Upgrade program at the onset of this year. The program pairs “fuse circuit protection solutions from Eaton with the company’s technical expertise in simplifying inventory and reducing costs,” said the company.

A team from Eaton first conducts a full audit of the customer’s fuse inventory and with that data generates an inventory and consolidation summary report. The report includes SKU reduction recommendations and estimated savings, a recommended inventory list and a quote for the purchase of new Low-Peak fuses.

Eaton’s Bussmann series Low-Peak fuses include a current-limitation feature, helping to ensure reduced arc flash hazards, said the company.

“The Low-Peak Upgrade program is so effective because it leverages our Low-Peak fuse portfolio,” said Nick Offerman, product manager of Eaton’s Bussmann Division. “These fuses offer 50% more protection than any other listed fuse and have many other features that contribute to enhanced safety and reliability as well as a simplified inventory.”

Eaton said it will provide environmentally-friendly disposal of old inventory as well as a training module for customers interesting in purchasing Low-Peak fuses through this new program.
