Canadians encouraged to Flip the Switch on Savings with light fixture campaign

October 9, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

The Canadian Electricity Association (CEA), the Government of Canada, electric utilities and retailers across Canada have partnered to help Canadians choose energy-efficient Energy Star qualified light fixtures. Officially launched October 1, the campaign runs only until the end of the month, October 31.

“Time and again, Canadian electricity consumers have told us that they
look to their electric utilities as their energy efficiency partner,”
said CEA president and CEO, Pierre Guimond.

The Energy Star Light Fixture campaign “Flip the Switch on Savings” aims
to increase consumer understanding and demand for energy-saving
fixtures, as well as highlight the variety of lighting design options
that provide good light and energy efficiency.

[We checked to see which retailers/utilities are participating in the
campaign, and discovered there is no list. You won’t know until you get
there.]
