July 10, 2013 – Champion Oil announced a new fuel economy calculator for diesel fleets, which is aimed at promoting the capabilities of its newest oil. “Champion’s online fuel economy calculator helps fleet operators and drivers determine the potential savings that can be achieved by using a new lower viscosity heavy-duty motor oil,” said Karl Dedolph, fleet specialist. Champion says its SAE 5W-30 UltraFleet heavy-duty diesel motor oil reduces engine wear and corrosion while maintaining viscometric properties, and provides enhanced protection to engine and exhaust system components. The oil is formulated with a friction modifier system that enables it to reduce internal drag within engines, maximizing power output. Plus, says Champion, the new oil has a 50% faster time to pressurization than a traditional SAE 15W-40, leading to faster lubrication of valve train hardware and emissions system components.
