June 22, 2017 – Following the International Year of Light & Light-based Technologies 2015, EBMag has learned the Executive Board of UNESCO has endorsed an annual International Day of  Light.

The International Day of Light will be proclaimed at the General Conference of UNESCO in November 2017, with the first celebration taking place May 16, 2018.
