May 8, 2012 – Besides all the business conducted at Affiliated Distributors’ 2012 Electrical Divisions’ Spring Network meeting in Phoenix, Az., the event also included the Electrical Divisions’ Award Celebration. Congratulations to BJ Electric Supplies Ltd., B.A. Robinson Co. Ltd., Bartle & Gibson Co. Ltd. and Jomar Electric Co. Ltd.

The breakdown of Canadian winners as follows:

Greatest Remittance Growth (Canadian):

• Runner Up:  B.A. Robinson Co. Ltd.

Highest Participation Percentage (Canadian):

• Winner: Bartle & Gibson Co. Ltd.
• Runner Up:  Jomar Electric Co. Ltd.

The meeting kicked off April 22 with a financial network meeting, where topics included commodity pricing, business continuity management and succession planning, as well as a number of sessions on financing for solar solutions.

The first day of the regular session included Product Committee, Clean Energy Committee and meetings of the Canadian and U.S. Divisional Boards. A-D’s electrical committees and boards provide direction and governance for the divisions, and comprise distributor members.

The final two days of the event included business updates from David Oldfather, president of the Electrical Divisions, a look into the future with futurist Michael Rogers, and individual network sessions for best practice sharing.
