February 16, 2024 – To extend its electrification portfolio with a dedicated 1500 VDC power converter, Danfoss Drives is acquiring the ACE300—and its product team—from Finland-based Ampner Oy.

“I am excited to extend our team and strengthen our power conversion portfolio,” said Shekhar Kubal, head, Electrification Business. “The new team has developed an extraordinarily strong product, and we will add even more value to it while integrating it into the Danfoss Electrification portfolio.”

The product will be integrated within Danfoss Drives’ portfolio of Electrification Solutions, primarily focused on smart grids and energy storage.

“There is a growing trend in all focus application areas where 1500 VDC is starting to play a key role,” said Mika Kulju, Danfoss Drives president, adding this is a big step toward “ensuring a complete electrification offering, thus securing the right solutions for our customers in their electrification projects”.
