November 23, 2014 – Dewalt says its 20V Max lithium ion cutout tool (DCS551) is ideal for cutting drywall, acoustical ceiling tiles or plywood to install recessed lighting, switch plates/outlet covers, etc.

The DCS551 delivers 26,000 rpm (no-load speed) and offers a tool-free bit change collar. The tool includes an LED for work in dimly lit environments and weighs 3.1 lb. The unit boasts a dust-sealed switch to protect against contamination, high-impact housing material to withstand drops and a ball bearing spindle construction to minimize bit run-out. The tool will be sold both solo and kitted with two 2.0 Ah XR battery packs. Both SKUs ship with the 1/4-in. and 1/8-in. collets.
