June 22, 2023 – Energy Managers—or those responsible for proactive energy management in their organization—are the unsung heroes when it comes to combating rising energy costs and reducing emissions.

Which is why Energy Manager Canada—sister brand to Electrical Business Magazine—launched its inaugural, national Energy Manager of the Year awards… to give them and the important work they do the national attention they deserve.

For well over a decade, Energy Manager Canada has been laser-focused on one thing—proactive energy management—and what better way to highlight this important vocation than through a national award that honours those who are leading the charge across Canada.

The inaugural awards program is open to Canadian individuals or teams who are achieving beneficial, measurable results to their organizations. Their work can involve any sector (e.g. industrial, commercial, institutional, residential, municipal).

Nominees could include:

• An organization’s Energy Manager or Energy Management team.
• Individual or team responsible for proactive energy management in an organization, who may be called something other than the above (e.g. Sustainability Manager/Team).
• Third-party energy management consultant to organizations (could include utility advisors).

Awards include Honourable Mention(s) and Energy Manager of the Year (individual or team).

Honorees will receive a certificate from Energy Manager Canada noting their achievement, and will be publicly announced on or about September 19, 2023, during a special presentation hosted by Energy Manager Canada. Their story will be published by Energy Manager Canada, and broadcast to everyone!
