Alongside the Halifax Airport, the Canadian Airports Electrical Association (CAEA) is hosting the 2024 Canadian Airports National Electrical Workshop (a.k.a. CANEW) in Halifax, September 22-27, 2024.

Meantime, a one-day tradeshow will be conducted September 25 at Casino Nova Scotia—1983 Upper Water St., Halifax—from 1:30 pm to 6 pm.

Organizers are seeking Plenary Session items, either to present or have discussed, as this is when delegates’ shared experiences and knowledge often help solve other delegates’ problems.

If you have an interesting project related to airside electrical or terminal, organizers will be happy to schedule the presentation. Airport projects are one of the most requested items, says CAEA.

Two (2) tentative hands-on Training Sessions are scheduled for this year’s CANEW: “Visual aids maintenance and repair” and “CCR, ALC and cable splicing”. Certificates of attendance will be provided.

In fact, CANEW delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance for the event, as it is a training workshop.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from name tags and breakfast to audio-visual equipment and transportation. All sponsorships help keep down the cost of CANEW.

The cutoff for registrations is week prior to CANEW, September 13.
