
Fluke Corporation introduced an entry level Fluke TiS Thermal Imaging Scanner for building diagnostics. The release explains the tool can be used to identify hidden issues, find moisture intrusion, detect energy losses or missing insulation, and spot overheating in electrical components. It has a resolution of 120×120 on a 3.6-inch full colour LCD display and was tested to withstand a drop of 6.5 feet (2 m). The thermal sensitivity ranges from “</= 0.1 °C at 30 °C target temp (100 mK) -10 to 100 °C (-4 °F to 212 °F)” says the release. Other building diagnostics applications it is optimized for include:
– Weatherization and energy audits
– Roofing surveys
– Moisture/restoration
– Mold remediation
– Electrical inspection
– HVAC inspection
