Greenlee adds GTSD-1930 to Saber stripping tool line

March 2, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

March 2, 2015 – Greenlee has released the GTSD-1930 drill mounted Saber tool, the newest addition to the company’s Saber stripping tool line.

Lacerations are a leading cause of recordable injuries on jobsites, and the GTS- 1930 and new GTSD-1930 Saber stripping tools are “safe and quick alternatives to blades when stripping cable,” said Greenlee.

The GTS-1930’s laser-etched depth stop and GTSD-1930’s self-contained depth gauge allow wire stripping without the danger of exposed blades. The spring loaded retention pin allows the user to simply pull the pin and insert specific bushing sizes. This retention pin allows users to quickly change bushings, which means no additional tools are needed. Cable specific sized bushings are offered both individually and as kits to ensure the precise removal of the cable jacket.

The GTSD-1930 incorporates a drill mounting adaptor for ¼-in. quick-connect drills, as well as standard keyless chucks. This allows for easy attachment of the stripping tool to keyless chuck drills.
