September 17, 2013 – IEEE Day 2013 (October 1) is the 4th time in history, explain organizers, when engineers worldwide will celebrate the anniversary of the first time IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. This year’s theme is “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”.
The IEEE Day team is made up of IEEE student volunteers, young professionals and staff whose main task is to initiate, motivate and coordinate events and efforts to celebrate this day worldwide.
Besides empowering members to “engineer the future and beyond”, the team encourages members and volunteers to participate in the 2013 photo contest, and display their pride by downloading the 2013 T-shirt design.
