IESO hopes for more participation with 2016 Energy Partnerships Program

May 27, 2016 – The Independent Electricity System Operator IESO is launching the Energy Partnerships Program (EPP) to “support indigenous communities, co-operatives, municipalities and public sector entities in the participation of Ontario’s energy sector”.
The EPP will consolidate and streamline the following support programs:
• Community Energy Partnerships Program
• Municipal and Public Sector Energy Partnerships Program
• Aboriginal Renewable Energy Fund
• Fund Program Transmission Aboriginal
The final EPP rules and a summary of changes will be available in mid-June, and the IESO will begin accepting applications on June 27, 2016.
