Kemptville’s Kavveri Technologies expands with help from Ontario

May 28, 2011 | By Anthony Capkun

May 28, 2011 – The Province of Ontario is helping Kavveri Technologies Inc. (a Kemptville telecom products manufacturer) expand production and consolidate operations into a single “state-of-the-art” facility, creating 11 new jobs and protecting 36 existing jobs.

“With Ontario government support, our consolidated, expanded production facility will help us develop next generation wireless products for the global market. By expanding our employee base, we’re also bringing high-quality jobs to Kemptville and its people,” said Paul Stevens, VP business development, Kavveri Technologies Inc.

The expansion will help the company build production capacity, increase R&D and produce the next generation of wireless products for a growing international market, says the government. “These changes will expand regional-based exports and strengthen Ontario’s reputation as a world-recognized telecommunications leader,” it added.

Partnering with local business is a key component of the 2011 Ontario Budget – Turning the Corner, says Ontario… to create and support 10,000 new and existing jobs. The province is providing $156,000 through the Eastern Ontario Development Fund toward the $1,040,000-project.
