Kevin Bourg of Enablence Technologies Inc., a supplier of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) equipment for triple-play residential and business services (as well as optical components and subsystems for access, metro and long-haul markets), has been elected to the board of the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council for 2011.

The FTTH Council is a non-profit organization of 250 companies and
organizations dedicated to “expanding the deployment of all-fiber
networks”. At the council’s recent quarterly members’ meeting,
Enablence’s VP of international sales engineering, was elected to the
board for a two-year term.

Wave7 Optics—acquired by Enablence in 2008—was a founding member of the
FTTH Council. Enablence’s Jim Farmer, CTO, and Emmanuel Vella, VP and GM
of international sales, have also served on the council’s board.

Bourg has been engaged with the FTTx market for about 10 years, and has
been active with the council for the past five, serving as the
technology lead for the Fiber Zone exhibition for the annual Conference
& Expo, as a member of the planning committee, and as a member of
the review committee for paper submissions.
