October 21, 2016 – Klein Tools says it has introduced a multi-function 12:1 dual-laser infrared thermometer (IR5) at an opening price point for professional-grade IR thermometers. The IR5 features dual-lasers that use a tight 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio for measuring of temperatures between -22°F and 752°F.

It also offers several calculation modes for a wide range of temperature measurement applications.

The IR5 is compact with a soft-touch, over-moulded housing and can withstand drops of more than 6 ft onto concrete or steel, according to Klein Tools.
