February 5, 2024 – Loop’s electric vehicle chargers are now available for SmartThings, allowing homeowners to seamlessly integrate Loop’s solutions in the SmartThings ecosystem.

Available for both iOS and Android, SmartThings is a free app that uses Wi-Fi to connect vendor-agnostic smart devices built on the Matter protocol.

With this integration, homeowners can start/stop and monitor charge sessions, view their charging history, and track energy consumption. The result is a “more comprehensive home energy profile” that provides insights into energy usage patterns.

Loop is the first EV charging company within the SmartThings network.
