May 23, 2024 – What a show! The 2024 MEET Show welcomed a record-breaking number of industry professionals from both the electrical and mechanical industries to the Moncton Coliseum, which featured a sold out show floor spanning across the entire complex.

“We’ve been blown away by the response to this year’s edition” said Shawn Murphy, show manager. “It’s always so exciting to see the progress being made across the industries, and our exhibitors truly brought the best of the best.”

Electrical Business Magazine’s Leslie Osborne, a first-time MEET Show attendee (Booth #1005), echoed Murphy’s enthusiasm, saying the show was regularly busy, with lots of traffic and great conversations.

The event featured the 7th biennial MEET Innovation Awards, where each of the four sponsor associations select one truly innovative solution for their respective market segment.

Of course, the MEET Show is more than just a tradeshow, as the sponsor associations helped build out the “Dialogue and Discussion” seminar series, which was conducted onsite and free to attend.

For its part, EFC hosted Andrew Pottier, lead regulatory services representative with Underwriters Laboratories of Canada. Pottier discussed “Energy storage systems and the 2024 CE Code”, highlighting important differences between 2024 and 2021 editions.

The MEET Show also hosted the ever-popular Industry Networking Dinner—but with a twist. The dinner’s new format offered more opportunities for guests to network throughout the night. The exclusive event featured local tastes and entertainment, including circus performers, close-up magic, a caricature artist, and live music.
