Mersen launches global line of new switches

January 26, 2015 – Mersen Electrical Power recently announced the availability of a new line of low-voltage disconnect switches.

Mersen said it now has the broadest range of switches in the industry, with a full line of accessories to accommodate virtually any application. This range is globally available and includes UL508, UL98, and IEC standard products for AC and DC applications.

Designed for long-term safety, reliability, and functionality, these switches are also engineered to have the smallest footprint, stated the company. The rugged, modular design enables multiple configurations, with pivot-able metal mounting feet.

The M-series switches cover the following ranges:

• Fusible Switches: 25A to 1250A, 690V. Suitable for all locations in low-voltage networks. Fuses provide protection against overload and short circuit.
• Non-Fusible Switches: 16A to 4000A, 690V. Higher power ratings than competition, suitable for many applications without de-rating.
• PV-Rated Switches: Designed specifically for DC applications. 16A to 32A – 100A to 500A, 1000VDC.

A wide assortment of handles, shafts, and accessories are also available.
