September 20, 2018 | By Peter Saunders

September 20, 2018 – Hand and power tool manufacturer Irwin is ‘kicking off’ its eighth annual National Tradesmen Day program with a new contest, which will award a VIP football experience to two deserving winners.

Celebrated on the third Friday of September, National Tradesmen Day celebrates the role Canadian men and women play as professional tradespeople—including, but not limited to, electricians—and their contributions to keeping the country running. This year, it falls on Sept. 21 and is being promoted with the hashtag #NationalTradesmenDay.

In Irwin’s new contest, the winner and a guest will receive round-trip flights to Toronto, two nights’ stay, a VIP experience at an Argonauts football game on Oct. 20, a personalized jersey and $250 for food, for a total prize value of $5,000. Secondary prizes include Irwin tools and branded products.

To be eligible, entrants must visit www.nationaltradesmenday.ca and sign up for the Irwin newsletter. The contest debuted on Sept. 10 and will run until Oct. 10.
