Ontarians! Review your code
July 31, 2008 By Anthony Capkun
Ted Olechna, provincial code engineer with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), informs us that ESA is accepting comments on its proposed amendments to the 2009 Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) until September 1, 2009.
The
OESC—an Ontario regulation—requires government review and approval
through the Ministry of Small Business Consumer Services. ESA is
currently working to submit a new edition of the OESC; its regulatory
group has been working with the Ontario Provincial Code Committee and
industry stakeholders to evaluate and define required changes and their
associated impact on the industry.
Numerous changes have been recommended for the proposed 2009 OESC. If you have any comments on the proposed documents, CLICK HERE and follow the comment process set out in the documents.
