Ortronics/Legrand and Bluesocket collaborate on Wi-Jack

November 10, 2008 | By Alyssa Dalton

Ortronics/Legrand and Bluesocket have formed a development and marketing agreement in which the latter’s access point software will be integrated with the Ortronics Wi-Jack Duo access point. The Wi-Jack will be fully supported by Bluesocket’s BlueSecure Controllers, providing a dual-band/-radio AP that integrates with structured cabling and provides a centrally managed wireless deployment that’s also theft and vandalism resistant.

“As
customers look to implement wireless in their organizations, they need
a solution that is secure, easy to install, and easy to manage and
maintain,” said Mark Panico, president of Ortronics/Legrand. “The
enhanced offering… will provide just that, as well as reliable
performance, flexibility and scalability to meet a broad range of
customer needs.”

Availability is scheduled for Q4 2008.
