Proto’s new SkyHook tether keeps workers untangled

November 13, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

November 13, 2015 – Proto has launched its new industrial tethered tools and accessories including the SkyHook tether & transfer system as well as tether ready tools and attachments.

The SkyHook system helps end users in the oil & gas, energy, aerospace, wind and construction industries comply with drop prevention practices and fulfill safety requirements while working at height.

The Skyhook can be used with tools up to 6 lb and the SkyDock allows users to engage or disengage the SkyHook to a wrist strap tool belt, tool bag, or another accessory.

This tethered tool system includes gadgets that simply attach depending on tool type, mobility required, and weight. Hand tools like screwdrivers, punches, and hex keys can be retrofitted with flexible tool collars for 360°mobility to prevent tether entanglement, Proto says.
