July 25, 2014 | By Anthony Capkun

July 25, 2014 – Metabo is recalling W14-150 Ergo series 6-in. medium angle grinders because the On/Off switch can stick in the On position, posing a laceration hazard.

The recall involves about 4300 units in the U.S. (it unknown how many, if any, made it into Canada).

The angle grinders have a green body, black and red handle, and a silver head and wheel guard. They measure about 16 x 4 x 5 in., have a 6-in, wheel capacity and weigh about 8 lb. Metabo is printed on the handle and Metabo 14-150 Ergo is printed on the side of the grinder.

Model numbers include 06251421 and 06251441, and serial numbers include 3010000001 through 4020031488 for both models. The model and serial numbers are located on the rating plate on the right side of the tool.
