Snake Tray manufactures using only solar power

August 22, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Snake Tray announced it has “officially gone off the power grid”; with the photovoltaic panels atop the roof of its American factory, it now manufactures all of its products using solar energy. As such, Snake Tray claims is the first “carbon zero” manufacturer in the electrical industry.

Snake Tray expects to produce 100% of its load and 120% of its energy
consumption annually. “We are committed to providing our customers with
cost-effective green products for cable management and power
distributions and, as a company, we want to practise green principles in
the way we operate. This is a giant step toward achieving this goal,”
said Roger Jette, president of Snake Tray (in photo).
