Snake Tray – a manufacturer of products for cable management and power distribution – announced the release of the Solar Snake Tray, a weatherproof, hand-bendable cable conveyance. Its purpose is to carry DC circuitry from solar panels to their terminations. Made of stainless steel, the Solar Snake Tray uses the “lobster trap principle” to allow installation outdoors. It has built-in mounting rings – called “Snake Eyes” – every four inches and its eight-foot sections join requiring a hex key to secure. The tray has been tested for both indoor and outdoor environments such as “large government, aerospace and military installations, mining and train tunnels and other industrial applications,” says Snake Tray. They were also developed to save time and cost for solar plant installers.
