May 2, 2012 | By Anthony Capkun

May 1, 2012 – Sonepar Canada’s Energy Saving and Environmental Week is back, May 22 to May 25, 2012. Its family of companies—CenturyVallen, Dixon Electric, Gescan, Lumen, Osso Electric, Texcan and SESCO—are embarking on a community-wide initiative to raise awareness on energy saving and sustainable activities that foster change.

“With Energy Saving and Environmental Week, Sonepar Canada has an opportunity to make significant breakthroughs in several critical areas, including renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental awareness,” said Francois Anquetil, president and managing director of Sonepar Canada. “We are very excited and hopeful that 2012’s Energy Saving and Environmental Week will be a huge success.”

Sonepar invites everyone to take part: vendors, customers, the public, media and employees, etc. This year’s activities aim to educate and raise awareness on energy-saving strategies, alternative energy applications and products, positive environmental changes, as well as the benefits and direct correlations in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Activities will be taking place in a variety of locations in every province across Canada.

“After the tremendous success of last year’s Energy Saving Week, everyone in Sonepar Canada is looking forward to 2012 with excitement,” said David Rycroft, vice-president of Energy Products and Services at Sonepar Canada. “For our customers, we will have more learning experiences available that can assist them in selling energy saving and environmental products. Our suppliers are fully engaged and participating by offering us a range of promotions. Overall, it’s a beneficial experience for all.”
