May 25, 2011 – Sunrise Telecom Incorporated has announced the appointment of Helmut Berg to the company’s board of directors.

Berg has more than 20 years of technical and executive management experience in the telecommunications test and measurement and industrial automation industries. He served as president of JDSU’s Communications Test Business, where he “addressed global test and management solutions for telecommunication field service operations, network operations centers and network equipment manufacturers.”

“We welcome Helmut and his years of executive leadership experience to our board of directors. The company will certainly benefit from Helmut’s insights and guidance as we enter into a new phase for the company,” said Bahaa Moukadam, chief executive officer at Sunrise Telecom.

Berg currently serves on the board of directors of J.W. Speaker Corporation and the advisory boards of Empirix and FiberZone Networks.
