November 4, 2011 – LumenOptix LLC has announced that Govi Rao has joined its Board of Directors. He presently serves as president and CEO of Noveda Technologies, a company specializing in web-based real-time energy monitoring systems. Prior to joining Noveda, Rao was most recently chairman of Lighting Science Group Corporation.

In April 2011, he was honoured by the Liberty Science Center for his dedication to improving commercial-scale energy sustainability.

Described as a “pioneering leader of sustainability across several industries” by LumenOptix, Rao brings more than 15 years of global business experience to the board, including leadership roles in the lighting industry, building products, specialty chemicals, and coatings.
