Techspan Industries says its new Arctic Tie cable tie solves cold-weather breaking problems; a polymer is added to the nylon for improved resistance to sub-zero temperatures and UV. Independent testing at -20ºC has confirmed, says Techspan, “superior application performance”, though the material is rated to -40ºC. Arctic Tie is available in 7.5-in., 11-in. and 14-in. lengths at 80-lb tensile strength, and 14 in. at 160-lb tensile strength. The ice blue colour distinguishes it from regular ties, asserts Techspan.
