April 17, 2014 – Royal Philips says it has given the traditional incandescent light bulb “the biggest shake-up” in over 100 years.

The new Philips clear 40W equivalent LED bulb claims to bring back the shape and instant bright, warm light of a traditional light bulb with the world’s “first innovative lens delivering light in all directions”. With its A60 shape, the clear LED bulb allows users to “hold onto the light they love, with all the benefits of modern LED”, says Philips.
