December 11, 2017 — The K-Line Group says it is the first high-voltage electrical contracting firm in Canada to sign the Leadership Accord on Gender Diversity for the Electricity Industry initiated by Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC).
The K-Line Group says it has already seen an increase in the number of women taking on leadership roles across the organization.
“Our focus on establishing The K-Line Group as an industry leader with exceptional customer service, and a safety record second to none, is made possible by hiring the very best employees,” said K-Line Group president Allan Kellett. “Today we affirmed our commitment to gender diversity by signing this accord and ensuring we deliver our very best results for customers.”
The K-Line Group of Companies is comprised of four companies: K-Line Maintenance & Construction Ltd., K-Tek Electro-Services Ltd., K-Line Insulators Ltd. and K-Line International Ltd.
The Gender Diversity Accord was developed by EHRC and its Connected Women steering committee, comprised of industry stakeholders from across Canada who developed the Accord and a national mentorship program for women in the sector.
