September 25, 2012 | By Anthony Capkun
Technology, in and of itself, does not increase productivity; it does, however, increase innovation—the key to productivity. According to Vito Mabrucco, SVP worldwide consulting & managing director, IDC Canada, Canada needs to invest in information and communications technology (ICT) to increase productivity and maintain its standard of living.
A 25-year veteran of the industry, Vito has held senior management portfolios in sales, marketing, finance and strategic planning with major global technology companies, such as IBM, Tandem/Compaq, Dell and Cisco. He shared his thoughts on technology, productivity and innovation with guests at the official opening of IBM’s Canada Leadership Data Centre.
