Hot dipped core for AFC Cable’s Liquid-Tuff line

November 11, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

November 11, 2015 – AFC Cable Systems’ new line of Liquid-Tuff flexible Liquidtight conduit is for a range of indoor and outdoor applications with a variety of temperature requirements.

Available in three formulations, Non-UL Extreme Temperature, UL Hi-Low Temperature, and UL Extra UV Resistant Hi-Low Temperature, all Liquid-Tuff products feature a hot dipped zinc galvanized low carbon steel core. The entire product line meets the ASTM D746 low temperature brittle point of -40°C.

The Non-UL Extreme Temperature Liquidtight conduit—with a thermoplastic rubber jacket—is ideal for food processing facilities and other industrial applications. The UL Hi-Low Liquidtight is designed for machine tool wiring applications and is a good choice for direct burial and concrete embedment, as well as hazardous locations that require flexible connections, AFC noted. And UL Extra UV Resistant Hi-Low Temperature Liquidtight, with a specially formulated flame-retardant PVC jacket, is the perfect choice for solar and wind farm applications and pump and lift stations, the company added.
