Aug. 2, 2019 – Electrical and control product provider NSI Industries has expanded its portfolio with a new series of power distribution blocks (PDBs), designed to provide a safe method for splicing and tapping power conductors.

The UL-listed line includes 26 ‘NPDBs’ for short circuit current rating (SCCR) applications up to 100 kA when properly fused, supporting a variety of line-side (primary) and load-side (secondary) port configurations. There are also dual-rated 90-C ports that accept copper or aluminum conductors, providing greater flexibility in wire management and control panel wiring.

“DIN rail-mountable PDBs marked with a higher SCCR and equipped with finger-safe protection covers are quickly becoming the standard for all kinds of control panel applications,” says David DiDonato, NSI’s chief operating officer (COO). “Our new series can replace lower-rated 10-kA PDBs and complements our Connector Blok series.”

The series features a modular design for installation on standard 33-mm DIN rails or through provided mounting holes, with a locking mechanism to secure each block in place. NPDBs are rated up to 600 V, with current-carrying capacity of up to 840 A per pole.
