APPrO 2014 launches two inaugural student bursaries

November 6, 2014 – Ontario post-secondary students interested in a career in the energy sector are being offered a chance to learn about opportunities in the field and meet a range of people active in the electricity industry via two new student bursaries from APPrO.

Offered to selected students from Ontario colleges and universities, the bursaries from the Association of Power Producers of Ontario will provide access to the APPrO 2014 Annual Canadian Power Conference and Networking Centre, being held November 18-19 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

In association with Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE), the Women in Power Bursary is open to two women who are registered as students in an Ontario college or university, and are interested in a potential career in power generation. Meantime, the Young Power Leaders Bursary is open to two students registered in an Ontario college or university and interested in a career in power generation.

Better hurry! The deadline has been extended to November 10, 2014.
