B.A. Robinson rebrands wholesale and showroom businesses
April 15, 2019 | By Peter Saunders
April 15, 2019 – Winnipeg-headquartered lighting and electrical product distributor B.A. Robinson has rebranded its wholesale and showroom businesses as ‘Robinson Supply’ and ‘Robinson,’ respectively.
The company’s new wordmark and emblem pay tribute to an earlier ‘robin’ logo, developed in 1936 by founder Burt A. Robinson.
“It was important to all of us to reflect on and honour our history, while continuing to evolve as a brand,” says Matt Robinson, vice-president (VP) of the showroom group.
Over the past 20 years, the company expanded from eight to 32 branches, acquired companies like McDowell Electric and Sescolite and operated under a variety of different banners. Now, for the sake of simplicity and standardization, these banners will be unified by name and brand, with the new logo rolling out this year on trucks, websites, merchandise and store signage.
