Beacon Products introduced what it calls the lighting industry’s first small-scale, aimable outdoor LEED-compliant LED floodlight. The FL-1 promises a 50,000-hr life, and can be aimed 360º. Post-, surface-, tree- or above-ground mounted, the lamp operates in all climates and boasts a white, high colour-rendition light. The lens is sealed tempered clear or prismatic glass; stainless-steel fasteners, standard or tamper-resistant, hold the lens to the light body. The unit meets IP66 ingress protection standards, and is cUL listed.
